Mountains from a trip to Glacier National Park a decade ago, mist and fog from the Lens Distortions Fog II pack, base scene, downtown Atlanta.
Not the best pic but creativity running a tad low today so it’ll do. Tardis lit with iPhone screen then blue light distortion added using Lens Distortions app.

trying out some new macro filters and noticed some distortion, so in photoshop went to use the lens correction tool it dosent have the Nikon D7000 listed so went through the nikon list and when i hit the D3X this shape is what i ended up with, so i chucked it quickly into nik fx and used the photo stylizer and this is the end result
I know that by posting this, I'm running the risk of people calling me Matthew "choo choo" Granz, but I came away with so many images that worked out to my liking at the Niles Canyon train yard last Saturday that it's all I've been working on and uploading ever since.
This is my one daytime shot that turned out.
Besides the HDR treatment here, which I did to get a little enhanced color saturation, I also did some heavy photoshop work. There were people visible to the left of the trains and a big blue tarp in the foreground that was very distracting. By eliminating them, the photo is less confusing. I decided to keep the lens distortion, because it adds a nice surreal effect.
a different exposure of the same scene (measure from a different point with the sutter depressed half way). this one also nicely shows weird lens distortions and light leaks - enjoy!
test shot from RICOH AF-5 - fully automatic compact camera from early 80s
these pictures turned out quite well. i'm pleased with the exposure, colour redention and overall sharpness. auto-focus system fails sometimes and the lens shows very strange distortions in the corners.

I made a new video with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and some Holga lenses! Check out my youtube channel to see the video: youtube.com/SeanAndersonMedia
Combining two pieces once again. This shoot was loads of fun, especially getting them to pose shamelessly.
Slices of sunlight over the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. From Bourkes lookout on Mount Dandenong, Christmas morning. Infrared with a crazy home-brewed lens on a tilt-shift adaptor.
The city lurks darkly in the right-hand background.

15-02-10 Today has been nerve wracking. My wife is waiting to hear whether she has got the job she interviewed for a couple of weeks ago. This job is in Manchester, not Sheffield. If she gets it we will have to make some drastic changes in our life. I am in a very strange position. I want my wife to get the job and progress in her field (she's a doctor, newly qualified, wants to do surgery). But on the other hand I don't want to leave Sheffield, I have made a life here over the past 3 years. All my friends live here, my band and my job! I would have to give all of those up. Which I will gladly do, because I love her and she is the most important thing in the world to me. So my gut is in knots, the next day or so will define where our life together will go.
The photo! Sorry got caught up in my own maudlin there for a sec. This is the big wheel in the centre of Sheffield. This shot has made me certain that I want a decent wide-angle lens. It was taken with a screw on fish eye lens on my 28mm prime. And the quality of it is awful! It's as soft as cream cheese and it has so much chromatic aberration I was forced to do a B&W HDR! The sooner I get that Sigma 10-20mm the better. Then I can bin this POS fish eye. The pic was a single shot HDR done with photomatix pro. I used Silver and Colour efex pro to edit it, using high structure B&W conversion and the Tonal Contrast setting. Due to the rain drops on the lens I put a big vignette on it too, but that hasn't really helped. I'm not very happy with this one but it's all I got today.
Also. Credit where credit is due. This is inspired by this shot by Paul Cantrell AKA starquake! who organises the Sheffield Flickr meetups. Cheers Paul!
Manual Page Read: I actually read more than one today! Pages 16-18 Inserting the charged battery pack, care of the battery.
Images Viewed: Check out more of Starquake!'s work on flickr. Some of his latest stuff is a bit NSFW though so mind yourself ;)
Other Inspiration: Sheffield. Enough said, if we have to leave this City I will be tremendously upset. I have fallen in love with the place.

Carvin DC-747 in deep purple, maple neck thru, birdseye maple fingerboard without fret markers, swamp ash body, tung-oiled neck, coil taps, black hardware, and a Floyd.
I ordered this on Jan. 3rd. It's been a long wait, but it was well worth it. This is the first guitar I've ever had built to order for me. The build quality of this guitar is truly impressive, especially when you compare it to other instruments in the same price range.
The purple finish, while translucent, is quite dark. I had to do a lot of fiddling around with different lights, long shutter speeds, and Photoshop to get the purple to come out. In all but bright light, it looks pretty much black.
I will get some good shots of it in full sunlight at my earliest opportunity.

There is an agreed upon procedure for posting images of each other on Flickr....she violated the rules, sooooo.........what goes around, comes around.
[Note: her breasts aren't actually that big and her head is actually not that small....probably a lens distortion]
