I once again have become bored with my usual work and style. So yet again I have tryed something different. Using some new software as well.

It seems so wrong to step in the shower when fully dressed. I balked at first, even after spending careful moments deliberately setting up the camera for this shot.
What a funny bit of culture. I didn't even realise it was there.

Still trying to prove that one light strobist set-ups like in this shot can look good. you don't have to fill all the shadows :)
Speedlite 430ex on full to the right (and just above key level), 1/200 to cut out ambient (tungsten light hanging from ceiling), high f/stop for depth of field/sharpness.
I don't usually shoot on full power, unless i'm trying to cut ambient completely, but it's nice to take a shot of something with lighting like this, on a low ISO, where natural light wouldn't allow anything below 400.
The General Logan statue in Chicago's Grant Park, captured with my Lomography Micro 4/3 Experimental Fisheye lens mounted on my Sony A7S II with a Fotodiox MFT to E-mount adapter.

The spontaneity of creating...
get inspired by a random prop
find a willing model
fire up the iPhone camera
press a volunteer into holding a spotlight
edit in snapseed
tweak in lens distortions
finalize in mextures
and then one last crucial step...
share.
p.s. equally crucial: have fun doing all of the above!
p.p.s. happy sliders sunday everyone!
Despite the summer heat, I continued wandering around the National Mall as “golden hour” shifted through to twilight. At one point, I found myself in a position to catch the sun’s golden rays streaming through the scattered clouds with the dramatic and massive Washington Monument reaching towards the sky. I just had to capture the scene. The towering obelisk may be cast in darkness, but the beautiful streams of sunlight, breaking through the clouds, remind us that, even though more darkness may lie ahead, it’s only a matter of time before the sun rises and, once again, fully illuminates the towering monument.
A lovely one of the kids on a hot summers day...i think about Teirney Gearon's stuff...well kind of...
This is a small village called "Hollyrood" on Conception Bay. It was the most windy. rainy and cold day of the trip - so here I am getting a shot at the colorful rocks on the beach! There's a great little bakery that serves sandwiches, soup, desserts. They also have an all day breakfast featuring Toutons, which is a heavy pancake fried in scrunchions (salted pork fat) and served with mollasses. The lens distortion near the edges seems to be giving a dizzing effect to the rocks! I corrected to ensure the yellow building with red roof on the waterfront was straight up and down, but that did some wild things to the rocks.
