iPhone imagery at Brewster Beach 2015

Two images combined.

Two phonesnaps of this gorgeous classic steam engine, given two entirely different treatments.

I want to plant my whole backyard with sunflowers. They're just so bright and cheerful.

"O Winter! ruler of the inverted year, . . . I crown thee king of intimate delights, Fireside enjoyments, home-born happiness, And all the comforts that the lowly roof Of undisturb'd Retirement, and the hours Of long uninterrupted evening, know."

William Cowper

These six photos are from the first roll of film I developed in my darkroom.

A little industrial surrealism for the folks at home.

Bamboo By The Lake at Night, captured with my Sony A7S II and an adapted Rokinon 7.5mm Fisheye lens.

51/365. 20th February.

51 days in and nothing to post and already resorting to self portraits.

I almost HDRed myself. Almost. But not quite.

Leaf in a puddle, captured with a Sony A7R II and my Lensbaby Twist 60, mounted via a Lensbaby Composer II and a Fotodiox Canon to Sony ND Throttle adapter.

Once again it was time for a wonderful art installation to be unveiled at Rockefeller Center and this time it is a massive inflatable ballerina created by artist Jeff Koons.

The inflated nylon sculpture is named "Seated Ballerina" and towers 45 feet (14 meters) in height. Based on a porcelain figurine of a ballerina in a blue tutu it is a beautiful addition to the already striking entrance of 30 Rock.

Koons says the work "conveys optimism and a sense of potential for the future." He also says the sculpture is intended to bring awareness to National Missing Children's Month.

"Seated Ballerina" is the third Koons work to take up residence at Rockefeller Center and I hope not the last. It is on display through June 2, 2017.

Happy Sliders Sunday everyone! :)
