This statue of Lenin in downtown Kyiv would be toppled later this day by the nationalists from western Ukraine. As night fell the crowd got rowdy and this statue was one of the first flash points of violence.

Statue of Lenin in a Hanoi park. His statues have been taken down in Russia, but there's still one here.
Lenin's Square is known for its historical monument dating back to the Soviet Union era. The monument honors Lenin, a famous Soviet leader. The Monument of Lenin overlooks the port of Yalta from the very center of the city. The square is large and is always bustling with people and activity. Behind the statue of Lenin are some wading pools.

There is a large bronze statue of Lenin in the middle of Fremont. Fremont calls itself the Center of the Universe.
Former swimming pool for the Sowjet Embassy, it was re-opend as a public swimming pool in 1990. Right now it looks like it's closed ... Architect: Dieter Bankert, 1982
