Hadn't been to this lake for a while. Usually in summer its best avoided because of the number of people, but with a couple of hours to spare decided it was worth a visit.
Very busy but hopefully over the next few days I'll catch up with flickr, staggering just how many contact photos are posted in a week !

I miss those sunny days.
Wish you a great day too!
This was taken in 2011.
We have another sunny and warm day in the Easter weekend.
I went to Capilano River Regional Park in North Vancouver this morning. This is the park where Capilano Lake and Cleveland Dam are situated.
It is only 30 minutes drive from the city and we can see beautiful scenics of the lake.
The beautiful Capilano Lake can be easily viewed just right at the entrance of the park.
This view is 5 minutes walk from the parking lot.
I feel blessed to be living in Vancouver!
A beautiful sunny day at Buttermere, Lake District, Cumbria England.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments. I will be busy today, so will catch up with everyone this evening.

Lake Minnewanka ("Water of the Spirits") is a glacial lake located in the eastern area of Banff National Park in Canada, about five kilometres northeast of the Banff townsite. The lake is 28 km long and 142 m deep, making it the longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies
Crater Lake, reached from Maroon Bells by a 1 1/2-hour hike that the trail guides call "moderate" but that a flatlander Philadelphian with no acclimation would term "rigorous." An exhilarating hike, despite the warnings about a bear "encounter" two days before. Had the hike up all to myself, but on my way back I encountered scores of people just heading up to Crater.
Lundy Lake taken in the Fall of 2011. We went back this year and sadly, the four bare trees are no longer there. Mother Nature is constantly changing!
I have developed a real appreciation for blue-toned landscapes. I've never managed to capture it myself before. Just enjoyed seeing it from others more skilled and more dedicated to landscapes than I am. So I'm particularly fond of these photos for the fact that I managed to capture such a scene. Add to that the alpenglow, and I have some of my favourite photos of the entire Canada trip.
My goal for photography in this trip was to come back with a couple of photos good enough to hang on my wall at home. I think with these shots in particular, I've given myself a difficult decision to make!
Hope you enjoy them. I can only reiterate what I said before; I do my best to capture a view in a photo, but you really have to see these places with your own eyes to take in the scale of the landscapes there. All credit goes to the plate tectonics and the glaciers, not the monkey who took the photo :-)
We pulled out of the highway for a short break and came down to this lake. Not really anyone visible...
This is a slightly different composition of Lake Wassookeag in Dexter, Maine, located in the central part of the State, shortly after sunrise. The time of capture was a little earlier than the image posted earlier.

One of two shots from my outing on Sunday :) This one I took while walking back to my car and wasn't the shot I went there to take, the one I intended to take will be uploaded Thursday!
This is one of my favorite lakes.
It's a very calm and quiet place.
We have seen our first beaver and bald eagle at this lake;)
Johnson Lake, Banff Nationalpark, Alberta, Canada
Paul Lake
Kamloops, B.C.
I was not surprised to see patches of snow along the shore or on hilltops, as the lake is at a higher elevation than the city. However, I hadn't expected to see so much ice still on the lake. This is a shot that came out alright even though it was pouring rain.
Vermilion Lakes are just west of the town of Banff in Banff National Park, Alberta Canada. Explore #93.
Most certainly my last post for 2014.
I wish you all a Happy New Year, and all the best for 2015!
And THANK YOU for your constant support and encouragements :)

Labour Day weekend in Banff was absolutely crazy. We've stopped there only for a moment and ran out as quickly as possible to avoid the masses of people. Made a quick stop at Vermilion Lakes and here is a few of the shots I got.. Now, the kids are at school again and everything is getting back to normal..
This lake looked fantastic with all the snow and most of the lake frozen over. We've had so much snow this year that it looks like they are keeping the water levels lower than they could because of the expected snow melt. My daughter wanted to see what the lake looked like at this time of year and I'm glad we made the trip.
This is Johnson Lake in the stunningly beautiful Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Places like this are really hard to beat. The Canadian Rocky Mountains are really an awe to behold. I do not get to the mountains nearly enough. It's time to go again.
