As has been custom since 2006, important election evenings are spent at Jesse Oxfeld's place in the West Village. The crowd, gay and Democratic. The vibe, positive (thanks, Nate Silver), verging on euphoric. Go you Barack Obama!

back in october we hung out with some folks from Glamour Magazine Italy as they were doing a story on social networking that somehow revolved around teendrama(.com). i dunno.

anyway, the issue is out. girls in Italy are adding me to their MySpace by the truckload and there's about 1000 words written about us that I can't understand.

I love that (a) from now on I can say I had a two-page spread (w/ Courtney) in Glamour mag and (b) that me + kevin made the mf'ing Table of Contents - ha!

cheering at mile 9

Our boys didn't get it done exactly as hoped (John Orosco from The Bronx!!!) but nonetheless perhaps the most epic party in the history of the Glass Slipper.

Saturday, August 4, we rented a 22' motorboat from Uihlein's in Montauk and went for an afternoon pleasure cruise. Route: dock (minor collision, NBD) > Lake Montauk > Inner Lake Montauk > Out of Harbor > Navy Beach Cove (with swim and gawking at giant James Bond Villain yacht) > Montauk Harbor > Lake Montauk > Liars (no dock, sadly) > Dock. An amazing day on the water.

Opening day at Gowanus Yacht Club, followed by a backyard hang at Katz Lady's.

Sox going for the sweep against the Yanks on a gorgeous Sunday. They'd end up losing, 4-3, but it did give us our final look at Mariano Rivera. Enter Sandman for my last time.

Rolled to Mo + BL's house on the beach in Napeague for the afterparty. Total blast.

.... observed at Professor Thom's.

Friday, April 20, Kevin and I headed north from NYC to the Fens in Boston, where we met up with Mom and Dad Kearney and then headed into Fenway.

Pregame festivities featured an amazing introduction of hundreds of living Red Sox legends and veterans. Gametime, 3pm, coincided with the gametime on April 20, 1912, when the Sox also played the Yankees (then the New York Highlanders).

Game sucked. But a great day.
