Fountains between innings.

Here I am including another Country Club Plaza image for the Me, Myself and I theme for the big-five two group. It's because I have made so many great memories there.

~ My husband I spent a lot of time in this area when we were dating. We enjoyed the restaurants, movies, shopping and tennis courts.

~After our small wedding in the rose garden at Loose Park a few blocks south our family gathered at the Harry Starker Restaurant to celebrate.

~ Our first home together was just a few blocks south and I especially remember a very snowy new years eve when we walked from home to the plaza for dinner since it was almost impossible to drive.

~ We spend almost every Thanksgiving Evening there with family for the lighting ceremony.

~We have stayed in the hotels just for an in town vacation at Christmas time a few years.

~The art fair in the fall is fabulous . . . except for the year that the temperature was over 100 degrees.

~Just a few of the reasons that I love the Plaza!

Happy Fence Friday of course and . . . Daily Shoot 2011/01/28: Today's theme is red. Red hot? Red paint? Or something else? You decide. Make your photo and then reply with a link! #ds439

Had a delightful day. Went to a beautiful performance of the Nutcracker my family. The costumes were so colorful and the ballet seemed perfect to me.

I stopped in Westport for a Fence Friday shot at Prides of Westport on the way home.

Have a great weekend.

thanks to shadowhouse creation for the texture.

First night in Kansas City. Can the Royals make it to the World Series? Is it possible? Or are we just living in a fantasy? (We know the answer now, but didn't at the time I took the shot.)

Today would have been my grandpa's 100th birthday.

This fence surrounds the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman mansion here in Kansas City. The Kauffman's were the owners of the Kansas City Royals Baseball team for many years. Notice the "K" monogram on the fence.
