Amazing what a difference two weeks will make. I shiver to think what this area looks like now. Rodeo beach is one of the hardest hit areas from the recent oil spill in the San Francisco Bay

Due to the storm that was breaking a variety of shots presented themselves on this day. The changing conditions kept me busy for some time. Just as the day looked to be over one last channel opened in the clouds. The result was a perfect spotlight of red sun light painting Bridal Veil Fall and Three Sisters.

It's not often you get to take landscape photos with a super-telephoto lens and few would think to, but I thought it might be a fun experiment. While experimenting I was treated to amazingly dramatic lighting.

Newlyweds kissing and posing for their wedding photographer on Ocean beach.

I timed this perfectly to have the photographers flash light the scene at the same time I took the photo. It's nice when things work out like that.

When I saw this I thought, "Flickr". Is that a good or bad thing? Oh and no Photoshop here. This is the actual sign.

Golden reflections on flowing water and rocks in the Kongakut River

Bright pink and purple clouds streak across the sky over Death Valley as seen from Zabriskie Point at Death Valley National Park, California. This photo was taken before sunrise as clouds from a storm that broke up days before made their way over the area. While Death Valley is an extreme environment reaching temperatures as high as 130 degrees F, at the right time of day the landscape can reveal a beauty few might believe could be possible. I took this photograph during one of my Photo Tours this month (October 2009). Don't miss out on my next Photo Tours.
