Week 1 - Day 5

Friday = Blue Day for Rainbow Week group.

For those wondering.... the shoes and the umbrella are both blue.

If you put your feet up against an umbrella

if you put your umbrella up against the sunlight

you can almost feel like you are on vacation

Happy Friday everyone. FUTAB!

Please comment! Don't say, "Oh there are so many comments, what's the point?" Or "It's all been said already, why bother?" Just let me know you stopped by to help celebrate my latest hit, PLEASE!

This photo is now showing at the top of the Flickr Blog as the top photo! It has been on there for about 24 hours which has greatly increased, (ok, well maybe not GREATLY) traffic to my photostream. Thanks for the phone call yesterday from Boiani to alert me right away.

(Originally uploaded 3 years ago but moved to the top of my photostream to celebrate it being highlighted in the flickr blog)

Continuing the visit of my neighborhood...I am just too lazy to take my car and go shooting elsewhere! ;-)

This the pond in the apartment complex where I live. The little glass house in the middle of the pond is the entrance to access the swimming pool which is located one level below.

Lord of the far horizons,

Give us the eyes to see

Over the verge of the sundown

The beauty that is to be.

Have a great day!

A brief moment of sunshine after several days of rain. I grabbed my camera and looked for something to photograph.

I apologize for the grainiess. This is a crop and blow up. If I had smoothed it out, a lot of the detail would be lost.

In the middle of nowhere, a beautiful and ancient church suddently appears at the turn of the road...

See 'em green hills big on Black

Snapped this along the Chichester Dam Road outside Dungog. Barrington Tops and National Park are close by and provide amazing landscapes.

Fog swept across the distant paddock last night and I caught this cow nibbling on an oak tree. We don't have any cork trees unfortunately.

This is quite heavily cropped, yielding an effective 35mm focal length equivalent of around 500mm. 2014 remaster.

Along the north shore on the big island of Hawaii. I pulled off of HIghway 19 to shoot this...couldn't resist those bright green, rolling hills set against the deep blue water and sky!

Rising sun reflecting of frozen Ellenwood lake.

Well, as you can guess I am in Beirut right now for a few days. The coastline is very beautiful, with lots of rocks, rough sea. Also after being under a cloudless sky in Dubai for over 3 months now, it was great to shoot some clouds again!

7 exposures digital blending, using the widest aperture (f/2.8) as I wanted to capture the sea motion, and not getting the silky water for a change. I also wanted the clouds not to be blurred by their movement (it was relatively windy).

Englischer Garten in Munich in the late afternoon on Nov. 1st.

The Englischer Garten or "English Garden" is a large urban public park that stretches from the city center to the northeastern city limits of Munich, Germany. With an area covering 3.7 km² the Englischer Garten is one of the world's largest urban public parks.

It is bigger than New York's famous Central Park but smaller than the Phoenix Park in Dublin, which is the biggest city park in Europe.

Season of life, birth, hope and happiness for the temperature change. No wonder that Woman's day was chosen within such days, as it is this season what best matches women's souls.

I dedicate this image to all women, and more especially for my mother. May the Magic of Life shine in your soul!

I took this earlier today. This giant ferris wheel is an annual visitor to Edinburgh every winter. It sits in front of the Scott Monument. I've never actually been on it, but it does offer photographic potential.

Stopped on the way home tonight under the full moon. The light is from a some type of light (didnt appear green to the eye) on a nearby house. Nice night to be out.

The Perfect Des-Res. Light and spacious and comfortably furnished!.

Have a great weekend to all my Friends!
