Homoptera Fulgoride sp

I just love these guys....I already have one tattooed on my arm....I may just get this one done in the fall.....

Warm, sunny day this migrant hawker popped up and I managed to get a shot off.

I was walking in Heartwood Forest in Sandridge and spotted this beautiful dragonfly hovering over a pond. I have tried to photograph dragonflies in flight before with no luck as they tend to dart about - hence the name I guess! On this occasion I got lucky.

Beautiful Butterly, one of my faves.

The European Peacock, more commonly known simply as the Peacock butterfly, is a colourful butterfly, found in Europe and temperate Asia as far east as Japan. Formerly classified as the only member of the genus Inachis.

I have absolutely no idea what kind of insect this is, only that it is rather scary looking and appears to be not of this world!

Dragonflies are reminders that we are light and we can reflect the light in powerful ways if we choose to do so.

browsing some pics, insect photography got into my mind. one of the most challenging photography (sply if u are having just 18-55 lens )... and that afternoon i decided to go out for a walking and take some good snaps of insects. man believe me or not, they seldom stay in a single place !

Insect photography - a must project for all photographers to enhance their photography skills !
