The egret and his reflection reminded me of the old Rorschach Inkblot Test where the image looked like it had been folded in half and duplicated to form some strange image. It was used as a personality test.

― Brooks Atkinson
Super rad floodfest returns!

Love their marketing blurb:
"Inundate the landscape and submerge your friends. Create realistic pseudo-3D watery reflections with control over waves, ripples, and perspective."
Submerge your friends!!! LOL Jason, I'm gonna submerge you, bro!
BLACK ACRYLIC & WATERCOLOR
I may be playing around with these techniques for awhile because I am having so much fun!!!
In explore today. Thanks folks, genuinely surprised as its weird and monochrome and not a flower in sight!
To me it looked a bit like a cross between an inkblot test and something from The Nightmare before Christmas by Tim Burton
It's a slinky Jim but not as we know it.
Photocillin has just discovered gooify on picnic. Oh dear... Mmwa hahahahaha. created after 5 minutes of mucking about with my newly bought and paid for premium picnik features.
A tiny island at the far north-eastern tip of Loch Awe. Taken early in the morning back in January.
The morning mist had bled almost all the contrast and colour from the landscape, so the dark, 'Rorschach inkblot' shape of the island and its trees made it stand out against the background.
Wordless when posted-but now 3 days later I will add some insight. My intention was to create an image that could be many things.

Now I have done it....I have tried to abstract some wooden barrettes from a display on St. Charles bridge in Prague. They offered some interesting shapes and patterns.

While shooting one of the classic views of Lake Louise last month, I looked over my shoulder and saw an interesting set of shapes reflected in the lake. This is not the usual direction people photograph the lake, for sure.
However, with the light, and the shapes of the hills and peaks, I could not help but think of the famous Inkblot Test of my title for this shot-----ha ha.
What do you see in it?
Banff National Park, Canada
A wonderful summer evening sky and very little movement on the surface of the lake produced a quite stunning sunset and reflection the other evening.
I fired off dozens of shots, trying out different compositions and settings as the sun set and clouds moved across the sky. This one reminds me of the inkblot test used by psychologists to determine a subject's personality.
What can you see in this one?
Infantry Against Avian Invaders :) EXPLORED

Another shot from Manor Gardens in Old Town, Eastbourne. Not entirely pleased with it, but the conditions were dire so it's the best I could do. It does at least show what the light and conditions were like. Notice how the two trees on the right look like people talking to each other? Must get back to the inkblots.
HDR 3 shots +2-2. Dragged through Topaz Adjust and Elements to try and salvage something. Anything.

Hermann Rorschach was a Swiss Freudian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, best known for developing a projective test known, from his name, as the Rorschach inkblot test.
When he was in high school, Rorschach was called Klecks, or "inkblot," by his friends. Like many other young people in his native Switzerland, he enjoyed Klecksography, the making of fanciful inkblot "pictures." However, unlike other young people, Rorschach would make inkblots his life's work.
An art teacher like his father, Rorschach showed great talent at painting and drawing conventional pictures. After graduating from high school he enrolled in medical school at the University of Zurich.
Rorschach studied under eminent psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler. The excitement in intellectual circles over psychoanalysis constantly reminded Rorschach of his childhood inkblots. He wondered why different people often see entirely different things in the same inkblots. While still a medical student, he began showing inkblots to schoolchildren and analyzing their results...

The Rorschach test is a psychological test in which subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or both. Some psychologists use this test to examine a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning. The test is named after its creator, Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach.
So what do you see?
mirror finish floor makes for some interesting symmetry, reminds me of the psychological inkblot test
