Het Smits Koffiehuis is al sinds 1919 voor zeer velen een begrip en het dient vaak voor stadgenoot en voor hen die van "buiten" komen, tot pleisterplaats. Het staat er ook zo enorm gunstig; immers vlakbij de in- en uitgang van het Centraal Station.
Daarom is het Smits Koffiehuis ook zo geschikt voor afspraken met reizigers uit de provincie. Kortom het Smits Koffiehuis heeft in de loop der jaren een belangrijke sociale en toeristische functie gekregen. Het is bij uitstek een trefpunt. En daarbij komt, dat aan het houten gebouw een zekere monumentale, bouwkundige waarde niet kon worden ontzegd. Het interieur is karakteristiek voor de tijd waarin het Smits Koffiehuis werd gebouwd (begin 20e eeuw) en bij mooi weer is het terras aan het water vaak niet groot genoeg om alle bezoekers, die een plaatsje aan het water zoeken, te kunnen herbergen.
Het Smits Koffiehuis ontleend zijn ontstaan aan de stoomtram die de verbinding onderhield met Amsterdam naar het noorden van de provincie. Het vormde zowel het begin als het eindpunt van dit al lang verdwenen openbare vervoermiddel.

Shot at Hill End which owes its existence to the New South Wales gold rush in the 1850s.
Hill End is classified as a historical site by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), however today, it is still home to a handful of residents operating the local pub, general store, cake store and antique store.

Well, in the blink of an eye my obsession has apparently turned from plants and flowers to sweeping landscapes. One day it's my macro lens and flowers, the next it's hiking in the hills with my 17-85. Next thing I know I've purchased graduated filters, learned to do HDR, and gotten more into b/w than I've ever been before. What just happened?
It's so fun, as an artist, to see where the whimsy draws you and to follow it, unafraid, embracing! And to sort of watch, almost from outside of yourself, as your grow and change and create ...
And then to sit back and enjoy your creations is just one of the best feelings in the world. This is why I take photographs.

I'm a bit obsessed over light leaks at the moment.
I hunted all over for a bag like that, and I couldn't find one D: So in the end I just got a plain bag and wrote the slogan on. :)
Words are the only way to pour out my thoughts, and I hope they will be sufficient, be enough to end this slow process of travelling. Life is a journey, it has been a gravel filled, rocky path with rose thorns and poisonous flowers that deceive, but I am running now, I want to leave quickly, to move on and forget everything ever happened.

I spend some time with "Picknik" and this came out.
This is the original picture"O Olho é a janela da alma" / "The Eye is the window of alma"
The comment has a bit blue at the left part of the eye and the invite a part soft pink. Although you can't hardly see....:-(
Anyway, they both are different :-)
