Amar
Carlos Drummond de Andrade
1960 - ANTOLOGIA POÉTICA
Que pode uma criatura senão,
entre criaturas, amar?
amar e esquecer,
amar e malamar,
amar,desamar, amar?
Amar solenemente as palmas do deserto,
amar a água implícita, e o beijo tácito, e a sede infinita.
The best remedy for those who are afraid,
lonely or unhappy is to go outside,
somewhere where they can be quiet,
alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be
and that God wishes to see people happy,
amidst the simple beauty of nature.
I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.
-Anne Frank
In Santorini, take lots of pics (both with DSLR and also mobile phone of course), enjoy delicious Greek food, look out for the donkeys, go up and down the stairs, explore the laneways, go to the beach, try ouzo (but do not get drunk as there is so much to see and do), embrace Greek hospitality, visit the villages and also the archaeological sites.. and if time permits why not shop for some souvenirs and that dress.... Oh how I wish I could be back there and do this all over again. Love Santorini and do not forget that SPF 50+ sunscreen...

Eng. Info:
Taking its name from the large mirror-like area on the mid-lobe of the labellum, the Ophrys speculum flower has brown petals and a russet colored lip with a glossy deep-blue speculum with a yellow or brown margin
Speculum means ‘a mirror or reflector of glass or metal.’
The Ophrys speculum flower is strikingly similar to the female of its wasp pollinator, Campsoscolia ciliata. The hairs on the labellum of the orchid mimic the long hairs of the female wasp, the scent contains a species-specific substance and the large hairless speculum mimics the female wings.
The males emerge before the females and are attracted to the mimetic Ophrys speculum flowers, where they land and take up a position with their abdomen to the hairy side of the labellum. The male wasps ‘bite with their mandibles in the two lengthy swellings in front of the column simultaneously making violent movements with the abdomen, the genital apparatus stretched out’
Gods power comes thru hunger...
ie: mourning, weaping, who suffering, praying and praise...

io trovo ristoro.
In queste rive frastagliate,
abbracciate dal mare in ogni dove,
violentate dai venti,
che incuranti ne delineano il profilo,
si appaga la mia anima.
