It was a little foggy today, so we ran out to get some more spiderweb pictures. As we were leaving I noticed the darkness to the northwest, so we headed that way. This looks like a terrible storm, but it actually just passed right over the area and now it's sunny and warm. Looks to be a beautiful day.

"The leaves fall patiently
Nothing remembers or grieves
The river takes to the sea
The yellow drift of leaves."
- Sara Teasdale -
"When the white eagle of the North
Is flying overhead
And the browns, reds and golds of autumn
Lie in the gutter, dead
Remember then, the summer birds
With wings of fire flaying
Come to witness Spring's new hope
Born of leaves decaying
Just as new life will come from death
Love will come at leisure
Love of love, love of life
And giving without measure
Gives in return a wondrous yearn
Of a promise almost seen
Live hand-in-hand
And together we'll stand
On the threshold of a dream...."

++++ Happy first day of Autumn... there's change in the air! xx
Mammina is the oldest of my cats. She is at least 14 years old.
She is wild and although have her meals here, nothing changed and continuos to be very shy.
It's difficult to take pictures of her and I do it when she comes for the meals.
I went for a walk in the forest on the morning of the autumn equinox. Most of the forest was in the shade, but the sun was shining on a few dried leaves. So happy it's autumn now...my favourite season :)
He was a visitor but now lives here with the other cats.
Rodolfo allowed me cuddle him yesterday.
All the cats get along with him, so he is resident here!

Beyoncè heard that the winter is going to arrive here in Italy on Wednesday, 10th Dec.
Until now we had only rain and temperatures are about +10°C/50°F.
The Tibetan/Pygmy Goats are easy to raise and handle and they are affectionate, cute, lovable and playful. Their docile and affectionate temperament makes them an excellent family pet. They also make great companions for other animals, especially horses.
Brad Pitt, Lena (white dog) and Duchess Kate (roan dog) sunbathing on the front yard.
We had a very dry and hot summer and the grass looks like straw.
The temperature are more pleasant now!

“Fall colors are funny. They’re so bright and intense and beautiful. It’s like nature is trying to fill you up with color, to saturate you so you can stockpile it before winter turns everything muted and dreary.”
― Siobhan Vivian, Same Difference

yes.. I <3 Autumn
........sorry for my little absence, my computer is in totally mess and my internet connection is a little faster then any snail you have ever met :(
In the fall season my father would take our family to Brown County, Indiana. As we got close the roads would bend around to clearings of beautiful vistas. I remember getting to the highest point of the park and I thought for sure that the whole world as far as I could see must be orange, red, yellow and brown with a little green! These were some of the best family memories I have of Autumn. My mother would pack a picnic and we would drive for what seemed like forever to get there. We would hike, play in the leaves and have a roasted hot dog. Then get in the car and drive home at the end of the day.
Once I was talking to a photographer about how I delete my not so great photos and he replied with shock on his face, never delete a photo. I did not know why at the time. But recently I have had no time to be out enjoying the color this fall and have went back to my archives. It was then that I realized that there were still some photos to share, but more importantly, it jogged my memory of special times. Of friends and requests to maybe lift another.
I enjoy Autumn. The colors are muted, quiet and rich. Anyone for Butterscotch or Sugar Cream Pie? I am having some great down home flashbacks :)
