De Japanse productie-designer Yohei Taneda, die de filmsets van films als Kill Bill Vol. 1 van Quentin Tarantino ontwierp, ontwikkelde op uitnodiging van Sculpture International Rotterdam (SIR) een tijdelijke façade voor de gevel van de Monisima Kubus aan de Kruiskade 2 in Rotterdam.
Japanese production designer Yohei Taneda has been commissioned by Sculpture International Rotterdam (SIR) to design a temporary facade for the Monisima Cube at Kruiskade 2 in Rotterdam.

Every year I take ten days off for the International Film Festival Rotterdam. This must be my 20th episode. I like the side program of the festival just as much as the movies itself. Every night there are parties, exhibitions and concerts. Here's the visual lowdown of the 2011 edition.
The Mark of Cain won the Amnesty International "Movies That Matter Award" yesterday. From right lo left director Mark Munder, the producer of the film and three representatives of the jury, shot in the Schouwburg. A link to the film is here

The basement has been used in many different ways during the festival, as a internet lounge area (when internet was still quite new), a press office, ticketing area, and large bar / restaurant, but has now been taken up by a permanent casino...
