Canon EOS 650, EF 50mm 1:1.8, Fujicolor C200, redscaled, Tetenal C-41 chemicals.

Emulsion transfer from Impossible Color SX70 gen 2 onto metallic paper.

The metallic effect doesn't show too well in the scan, but it catches the light quite nicely in real life.

Had a bit of a disaster when it stuck to the board I had taped it to to dry and I nearly tore it clean in half.

The cold seems to have killed my lightmeter and I misjudged the brightness of the fog, so this was overexposed and therefore not as clean a scan as I'd been after. Also there's some slightly odd fogging going on with this film, that I can't quite work out the cause of.

Another shot from the car rig experiment.

Good old Humphrey looking cool in his shades! ;)

A different sort of edit from the car-rig test a couple of weekends ago.

I've attempted to clone out the rig again.

The village of Hursley, which is between Winchester and Romsey in Hampshire, has some beautifully ornate chimneys. These are not particularly old, maybe Victorian, but were made by two local builders, brothers, who used to complete with each other. This huge chimney with three pots is on the roof of a normal sized Victorian style cottage (see first comment box)

Taken for 114 Pictures in 2014 #15 Chimney/s and for Chimney Tuesday

Vignette entirely down to fog and shooting wide open.

First thoughts on the new 40mm; it appears very sharp (checkout that little thread of spider silk and also the bench texture close to the frame edge), focuses very close, fun.

The best of the display was long over when photographed here in April, but the effect is still magical.

Another field in Hursley somewhere.

The Secret Garden is an incredibly beautiful small walled water garden. Constructed in the 1920s, it contains statues and two pools with fountains surrounded by trees and shrubs.with decorative foliage.

Having bought myself an SX-70 this shot was an inevitability for the first pack.

I had some alignment issues with this one, due to the tripod mount coming unglued...

This didn't really work. The originals were underexposed and the bottom pair basically bleached out completely during the lift. And again the metallic paper doesn't really scan well.

New (to me) lens to test, so on a cold crisp morning with beautiful light, there was only one place to go.

This first edition EF 50 1:1.8 is a nice bit of kit. I still think it's a bit long for my tastes on a cropped sensor, but it is sharp alright.
