In addition to exclusive Hudson Yards offerings and perks, residents will also enjoy the personalized five-star service that Related Rentals is known for.
Apartamentos, oficinas, restaurantes, tiendas, parques y espacios culturales.
At 55 Hudson Yards, the 780-foot office building designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox in collaboration with Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates, glass cladding is rising into place.
The building’s exterior is inspired by early modernism, and if you squint hard enough it’s easy to recognize a likeness in period architecture icon the Seagram Building. And 55 Hudson Yards will be a Seagram of sorts, but for a new era. Today developer Related Companies announced that law firm Cooley LLP has signed on for 130,000 square feet over five floors towards the top of the 51-story building.
The building is still making its ascent, but is poised to top out any day now and open in 2018.
Meanwhile, 30 Hudson Yards continues to rise to its 1,296-foot apex. As of now, the Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed building is still shorter than its neighbor at 55 Hudson Yards. The office building will eventually become the New York home base of companies like CNN, HBO, Time Warner, and two of the biggest developers of the neighborhood: Related and Oxford Properties Group. Construction is expected to wrap up on 30 Hudson Yards in 2019.

"William Henry Hudson (4 August 1841 – 18 August 1922) was an author, naturalist, and ornithologist.
Hudson was born in the Quilmes Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, son of settlers of U.S. origin. He spent his youth studying the local flora and fauna and observing both natural and human dramas on what was then a lawless frontier, publishing his ornithological work in Proceedings of the Royal Zoological Society, initially in an English mingled with Spanish idioms.
Hudson settled in England during 1869. He produced a series of ornithological studies, including Argentine Ornithology (1888-1899) and British Birds (1895), and later achieved fame with his books on the English countryside, including Hampshire Day (1903), Afoot in England (1909) and A Shepherd's Life (1910), which helped foster the back-to-nature movement of the 1920s and 1930s.
He was a founding member of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
Hudson's best known novel is Green Mansions (1904), and his best known non-fiction is Far Away and Long Ago (1918).
In Argentina, Hudson is considered to belong to the national literature as Guillermo Enrique Hudson, the Spanish version of his name. A town in Berazategui Partido and several other public places and institutions are named after him. "
The Hudson River is a natural separation between New York City and the state of New Jersey. It's a 315 mile (507 km) river that flows from northeastern upstate New York all the way down to the Hudson Bay and eventually to the Atlantic Ocean.

In October, my wife made her annual pilgrimage to the NY Sheep and Wool Festival. This year we made some time for me to do a little shooting.

While on a day trip to the big apple, we see Long Island Railroad EMD DM30AC # 500 awaits it's next assignment at the Long Island Railroad's Hudson Yards. This vantage point was captured from "The High Line", which is a new walking trail and park built upon the former New York Central West Side Branch, which provided the only freight traffic into the heart of Manhattan.
i don't recall doing this double exposure intentionally, but i sure like the way it turned out!!
unrelated except for the water: I'm saiing my own boat in what is perhaps my favorite race today, the Three Bridge Fiasco -- all week we've had forecasts of big wind and pouring rain, causing my crew Lief and I do doubt whether we should go through with it -- but this morning it's only saying "light occasional rain" and 15-25 kts of breeze, conditions in which my (older, slower) boat might actually finish the race for the first time! so wish us luck!
anyone in SF who likes sailboats should come watch the start, which is crazy -- the race is to all three bridges (Bay, GGB, and Richmond) but in any order & any direction -- so there are boats at the start crossing the line in both directions -- and it's HUGE, there are something like 250 boats signed up -- so the start is delightfully chaotic. see a clip from 2006's start, as seen by the race committee on shore:

our start is at 9:34:39, directly offshore from the Golden Gate Yacht Club (click on this photo and look at the map if you're not sure where that is) -- so come down and cheer for us, and take a few photos! Mouette is sky blue with a yellow stripe, easy to see...
