The Hudson Hornet is an automobile that was produced by the Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan between 1951 and 1954. The Hornet was also built by American Motors Corporation (AMC) in Kenosha, Wisconsin and marketed under the Hudson brand between 1955 and 1957.
The first generation Hudson Hornets featured a functional "step-down" design with dropped floorpan and a chassis with a lower center of gravity than contemporary vehicles that helped the car handle well – a bonus for racing. The Hornet's lower and sleeker look was accented by streamlined styling. The car's "unique, low slung appearance and silky handling earned Hudson an image that – for many buyers – eclipsed luxury marques like Cadillac's.

A really great day! A rare Saturday away from my desk at work.... spent exploring with the person that is usually my source for all places cool and exciting... and this time we got to go together.
This is the Dr. Oliver Bronson House in Hudson, NY which was open to the public (for a small fee) as a part of Desigh Hudson. Rooms were decorated by local designers... only to prove to me, what I had suspected all along... that it is entirely possible to live in an old abandoned building with peeling paint and wallpaper. The rooms were to die for!
I took this photo on the outlook right off of route 202 leading to Bear Mountain Bridge recently and it looks just as beautiful today as it did a year ago.
Mind you, the ride along the swirving road is pretty fun and I'd taken a video of it which you can see right here.
You can see the video I'd taken long ago by clicking here.
Please note it's not for the squeamish since it's similar to riding a rollercoaster.
Have fun!!!
At the end of the day, nothing is really *that* important; not as much as the late day’s sun reflecting off steel posts, or the happy frothy roil whose spirit reaches out to touch a cheek, or the sound of wind and distant ferries.
BNSF’s Hudson local passes the reflective waters of Barr Lake just east of Barr, Colorado on the morning of October 21, 2010.
