2 hrs horse trek to see the prettiest part of our side of the mountains. It’s a vast flatland where daffodils grows like grass. We stopped here because the horses were hungry.
OMG!: I wish I was wearing a dress so I can pretend to be Heidi.
Had Great fun on a 2 1/2 hr horse trek, although was a bit sore afterwards !! Bex, will be taking lessons from you on Wheaty when I get back !!!

Picture was taken before we left the main lodge and headed out for a 4 1/2 hr horse ride to La Junta, the mountain based cabin. Cool morning start but the sun was brilliant.
Troop B's assignment for the day included many lessons in 1890s living, including a 2-hr horse study. When I glanced out from the barracks kitchen where I was preparing lunch, I gulped when I saw Youngest GeoKid "driving" the horse and then sighed with relief when I saw a Fort Steele horsewoman right behind him.
