...There's good and bad about shooting in farm country.....it's good when storm clouds form...it's bad when they move faster than you....I got wet!

Going to the Durham Farmer's Market is a delight for all the senses ...! These onions, found in our friend Dave's booth, were so pretty - that we brought them home to PAINT rather than use solely for cooking! LOL Of course, they were as delicious as they were pretty!
I'll be offline this weekend and will catch up with everyone on Sunday ... the weather is supposed to be rather nice with a chance of scattered showers -- we'll be outdoors and enjoying the pre-fall weather!

Red Onions spotted at the McKinney, Texas Farmers' Market.
Red onions are especially divine. I hold a slice up to the sunlight pouring in through the kitchen window, and it glows like a fine piece of antique glass. Cool watery-white with layers delicately edged with imperial purple...strong, humble, peaceful...with that fiery nub of spring green in the center...
