A small rural hospital in a small Missouri town, but it was originally the Durley Hotel, built in 1892. It was evidently a lively place for social gatherings in Appleton City, and President Taft even spent the night there. The hotel was purchased in 1934 by Dr. Ellet, and used as a hospital until 1974 when a new hospital was built. In 1994, the building was bought again and carefully restored. It now has rooms to rent as well as several apartments, and the large dining room is sometimes used for special events. What a long and interesting history!
Like this or even worse are the bathrooms of the state hospitals of argentine...is really sad...and smell so bad there!!! =S

El Hospital de Tavera, también conocido como Hospital de San Juan Bautista, Hospital de afuera o simplemente como Hospital Tavera, es un importante edificio de estilo renacentista. Fue construido entre 1541 y 1603 por orden del cardenal Tavera. Este hospital está dedicado a San Juan Bautista y también sirvió como panteón para su mecenas, el cardenal Tavera. Inicialmente empezó a construirse bajo la supervisión de Alonso de Covarrubias, siendo sucedido por otros arquitectos y terminando la obra Bartolomé Bustamante.
La lejanía con el casco viejo de la ciudad hizo que se le apodara «el hospital de afuera», puesto que dentro de las murallas ya existía el Hospital de Santa Cruz.
Actualmente el edificio sigue siendo propiedad de la Casa de Medinaceli y en su interior se encuentra el Museo Fundación Lerma, que alberga parte de las colecciones artísticas de dicho linaje, así como la Sección Nobleza del Archivo Histórico Nacional. Cabe destacar, asimismo, el magnífico sepulcro del Cardenal Tavera, obra de Alonso de Berrugete.

Rosslynlee Hospital was founded in 1874 under its original name of Midlothian and Peebles Asylum (1874 - 1948) then changed its name to Rosslynlee Mental Hospital (1948-60). Set in 64 acres of land, it was a psychiatric hospital until late 2010 and eventually closed early 2011 as it was deemed surplus to requirements due to the construction of the New Midlothian Community Hospital at Mayshade, Eskbank which was completed in September 2010.

Lier Psyciatric Hospital just outside Oslo in Norway, was built in 1926 and had room for nearly 700 patients at the most. In 1986, many of the buildings were closed and abandoned and they still stand empty to this day. Some of the buildings are still in operation today for psychiatric patients. It is known that here between 1945 and 1974 conducted experiments with LSD, lobotomy, testing new drugs and research with radioactive isotopes on patients. Many of the them never came out again alive and many died as a result of the reprehensible treatment.
