I liked this view with the museum in the middle. The architecture is wonderful with all these bricks and art at the facades.
The HDR is developed from 5 single shots.

As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App Mattebox for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used the app Handy Photo to edit the image. The edits were made by cloning away the Guard rail near the bottom of the image as well as the newer windows and building in the background of the picture. Next I added a little more texture to the image using the Ancient filter in HDR Art. Finally I used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lazarus Texture.
The original photo was taken early this evening in the Much Park Street area of Coventry City Centre. The image is of a mysterious Medieval Sandstone building dated to about the late 13th or early 14th century. In a strange twist of fate the building was actually discovered in the aftermath of a bomb blast during the blitz on Coventry in the Second World War. Most of the buildings in the street were destroyed but this shell of the building remained after all the other more modern buildings burned down around it. There is not a lot known about the origins of this rectangular shaped building. It is thought that it was either a Merchant's house or in some way connected to the nearby Whitefriars friary. Archaeologists found pottery from the 13th and 14th centuries when the site around the House was excavated in 1971.
The Medieval Ruin is classed as a Grade II* listed building. It is number 18 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.
