I took this on an overcasted day. Got home and tweaked it a bit. The photo still keeps the reality side of things. I added some LOMO-ish and then lightened it up and threw in some very light sepia tones to create this POPPING Real Feeling Art. It is more realistic than HDR. Anyone like HDR art or do you prefer a more realistic photo? I like more of a realistic feel to photography. But I don't like photos with zero pop nor too much HDR! Just Right!
I was going to make a black and white version of this photo but after playing with it for a long time I have opted to retain a little colour to give it a hand painted mood.
Pagoda at 3000ft up at the top of one of Zhangjiajie's massive karst peaks.
This was a 4 hour hike to get to this spot.

The view of Moraine lake from the top of the rockpile is one of the most photographed locations in all of Canada. The view of the mountains behind the lake in Valley of the Ten Peaks is known as the Twenty Dollar View, as Moraine Lake was featured on the reverse side of the 1969 and 1979 issues of the Canadian twenty dollar bill.
I want to thank www.hdrlabs.com for ranking this photo as one of the top 30 HDR images for August. Thanks! And a little quote from their website:
"More than 1.000.000 images on Flickr are tagged with "hdr".
This gallery streams the 30 most interesting of them. What you see here is the creme de la creme, the current state of the HDR art."
Happy 50th Anniversary Doctor Who!!

As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used an app called HDR Art to edit the photo. The edits were made by applying the Ancient filter to the picture to help age the image. Finally I used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the HDR overlay and the Savannah Texture.
The original photo was taken late this afternoon. It is of the Cook Street Gate. This gate was part of the Medieval Town wall of Coventry and was built in 1385. Most of the town wall and gates were demolished in 1682 by the orders of King Charles II. This Gate along with the nearby Swanswell (or Priory) Gate are the only two that have survived out of the original twelve gates to the city.
