Just don't ask what they're harvesting...

Driving past my favourite spot on the Ballyhenry Road and noticed the farmer had kindly left his hay bales out long enough for me to get a few quick snaps :)

Textures by SkeletalMess... Thank you

The great fiery flower, much bigger than a tower.

The land of sunset, I'll reach you yet.

Slowly it changes, to red and pink hazes.

From red sand pinks, to orange and purple things.

As it castes a shadow, over all meadows.

Goodbye to its mystic charms! till again does it comes!

This is so sensitive to the screen setting. I've tried several versions, and they quickly become either washed out, or unrealistically garish. Perhaps I'll go on switching them and learn from the responses.

The Oxfordshire countryside

Here's one from a harvest workshop I taught in the Palouse a few weeks ago. I love the patterns left behind in the hills from harvesting the wheat. Thanks for looking! Chip.

No fake!

The clouds were (naturally) in the front, but it seems, as if they'd been behind the moon. I don't know, why they aren't visible.

a suffolk cornfield, just after dawn on a misty late August morning

my dog grizzly in an apple orchard

Five minutes after I saw a could-be- perfect shot, I ran out and within minutes it started raining. So I waited off in the car, and finally got a so called shot through the clouds. I personally love the rain, but today was a prayer day, hoping the rain would subside, and I would be able to get a shot. So a little bummer, as I couldn't get the most clear shot. There's always tomorrow....

Light was low..had to use ISO 1000 so I will try again during the day on the weekend..

Asian pears picked by the little girls next door at their grand parent's farm.

Yesterday, we drove to the countryside. I was looking for rolling hills and pastoral but, didn't see any. But we saw a lot of farmland.

Very busy these days, harvest time. My pearl farms are mostly on other islands, so I have to fly there almost everyday. Almost done now.
