There is a stairway right outside of Milsons Point train station which is the first stop after crossing Harbour Bridge (from the city side).
Not a stairway to heaven but a stairway onto Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Not heavenly but there is a very nice view. Probably one of the easiest accesses to the great view spot.
I'll show you the way 😊

A very calm but cold evening on the harbour. I spent a few hours here, getting pics as the tide was rising and going dark. Difficult for long exposure as the boats were moving, perseverance paid off in the end.

Auckland has an attractive natural harbour. I have viisted twice and both times came away thinking it has not been well developed. The front of the picture shows a small industrial storage area which is not particularly attractive. Having said that it is most defiinitely a place to visit!
Firstly I hate that ship on the left when taking this picture. So after taking it, I moved to another spot and got a clear view of the building. After transferring the pictures to my laptop, I realize the one without ship was kind of boring. So I choose this instead ^_^
Picture was taken during sunset and I add magenta tone in processing.

Whilst looking through images over the past year I came across one of the images of Mevagissey harbour I had overlooked and to be honest I think it is one of the best of that mornings sunrise.
Pays to look back from time to time
