I love how cats bond with us humans and take part in everything we do. Here Caithlin has followed her favourite human Lene into the garden just to be with her.

I adopted Jimmy and Mack a couple weeks before Christmas 10 years ago. Both had colds (feline herpes) which is contagious to other cats so I kept them in our fully furnished basement away from Ella. In addition to their colds, they also both had coccidia, giardia, congestion, conjunctivitis, diarrhea and neither would eat. And if all that wasn't enough, Jimmy also had a urinary tract infection, crystals in his urine and a horrible eye ulcer. During those first couple getting-to-know-you weeks I had to have a spreadsheet to keep track of all their medications and when each needed to be administered.
So, that Christmas season I spent every minute I was home in the basement medicating sick kittens, cleaning up diarrhea and wracking my brain trying to come up with something tasty and smelly enough to tempt them to eat. They were so sick. Since bringing them home I had never seen them play or heard them purr. I was exhausted and questioning whether everything I was putting them through was worth it to them or if euthanasia would be more humane.
One afternoon, I turned off all the lights in the basement except for the tiny lights on a table-top Christmas tree. I laid down on the couch under a downy comforter to look at the pretty lights and just be near my sick kittens. I closed my eyes and was about to fall asleep when I felt Jimmy's little feet walk up along my body until he settled in the crook of my arm and for the first time, started to purr.
In that dark, quiet moment Jimmy was content, I was at peace and we were together. It was perfect.

After 7 months living with me she is full of confidence and I am allowed to pet her almost everywhere.
Molly is giving me 'tude because I was trying to get her off the papers I had put on the floor to sort. Happy Caturday everyone!

Turtle has been a little put out that the kittens get so much attention! Not enough lap time with Mom these days. I told her not to worry, they won't be staying long. ;-)
Actually, for the first time ever, I'm also hoping it's Dirt, and not George, who walks by seeing Jimmy looking cool on the motorcycle.
I've included a picture of Dirt in the comments.

Milo and Mickey often come to board with us and during this most recent visit they had an entire boarding room to themselves. We opened their cage doors so they could hang out wherever they wanted to with a variety of comfy beds to choose from. They found a small cage with no towels or blankets and spent the morning just like this.

Every day the silly human runs into Williamsburg to photograph the colors and textures of Brooklyn. Every day she tells me, "you can take the girl out of Brooklyn, but you can't take Brooklyn out of the girl!"
Well, Silly Human, what I say is, "home is where the heart is" AND I'M IN QUEENS! " sigh..........

This was our sweet Bailey, a cat that we adopted from our neighbours who moved away and didn't want to keep her. She experienced a lot of adventures in her life as an outdoor cat. And she might be one the most travelled cats in this community. She moved from Mobile (Alabama) to the Frankurt area, but adapted very well to her new territory. Except for the weather. As a Southern cat she had never seen any snow before and it irritated her for the rest of her life when snowflakes were falling from the sky covering the soil. She was very small and delicate, but a master in bluffing and chasing away even the biggest dogs.
Sorry for the bad quality, but the photo is quite old (from from the year 2008).
