Merial sends free doses of Revolution to our practice that we then place in bags of goodies and information for clients with new kittens. I tried to get either Moon Pie or Snickerdoodle to cooperate with the Happy Caturday photo shoot. Imagine how cute it would have been to have a kitten, or two (we all know how cats like to cram themselves into small spaces), in the Kitten Kits box. No such luck. When I tried putting treats in the box I got lots of heads in the box but who wants to see just the back end of a kitten. I next tried putting toys in the box. Lots of fun but dashing around like speed demons, outside the frame, was even more fun. Finally it occurred to me to put clean litter in the box. What cat, of any age, can resist playing in litter? Well, Moon Pie and Snickerdoodle. That's who. So, here we have a picture of a slightly blurred Moon Pie next to an even more blurred Kitten Kits box.
Just incase any of you are wondering why Moon Pie and Snickerdoodle are at the practice after they were adopted by one of the vets, it's because they needed to come in for their second in a series of kitten shots.

This is Izzy who loves to crawl in bed with me while I enjoy my morning coffee and watch Good Morning America. She is very hard to photograph because she is all black, but mostly because unlike my other cat, Lucy, she hates the camera.
Not my cat, but definitely one that will give Bastian a run for his money at shows in years to come.
Bolette is a beautiful 5½ month old tortie girl, adopted by Marianne & Lars Seifert-Thorsen, who usually breed Abyssinian cats. Bolette did not win today, but she has the personality and looks to go far...

Cali is watching chipmunks scurry around outside on the patio. They like to get in the flower pots I have out there and it is quite entertaining to the cats to watch them. Happy Caturday!

I have a cat tree with a tunnel that all the cats love the get into. This is from about 12 years ago, when Jack was just a kitten and Demon was about 2 years old.

Lucy was playing in the boxes while I was wrapping presents. Of course I wasn't able to get the wrapping paper in the picture because she would not cooperate. Happy Caturday and Christmas to All!!
For as long as the weather permits, Jimmy and Mack spend almost the entire day outside. They both enjoy hogging up the sidewalk and sitting out in the middle of the grass. It just melts my heart every time I look out a window and see them outside looking so cute. I assume all the neighbors get an equal amount of enjoyment seeing my cats outside. I'm trying to think of a polite way of charging them for this pleasure as a way to contribute to their upkeep - they are not cheap. There are those in my household who do NOT assume our neighbors get the same warm fuzzy feeling as I do when they see my little angels outside.

Ozzie has pretty much lived up to his raucous name sake, Ozzie Osborn. When Ozzie was younger, he used to launch himself off of a tall piece of furniture to try and land on your shoulder, whether you knew he was coming or not. He once almost knocked me over trying to land on me when I wasn't looking!. He was also bad news to any cat that he disliked. Two of my cats ended up living in my bedroom because of his fights with them! And, he loves Rock and Roll music!!
Shutter, also doing one of her everyday things: just laying there in the makeshift bed, one stop of several locations where she typically idles herself.
