Looking over the 'Reflecting Absence' waterfall pool of the north tower. Behind it is the base of the under-construction World Trade Center 1, previously referred to as the 'Freedom Tower'.

The two pools are the size and location of the footprints of the Twin Towers that fell on September 11, 2001.
The names of those who were killed on that awful day are inscribed on the parapet rims of each of the pools.
To the victims and their families: You are remembered.
We only took a couple of photos when we started our night shift , we had disposable Kodak film camera that produce a flash and the last thing we wanted was to disrespect this sacred site and the people working on it .
There is no words to describe how we felt , our jaws where constantly on the ground ,,,,the lights where mounted on cranes and powered by generators , the rain mixed with the smoke , the smells the sounds and the "unreal" visuals was quite an emotional trigger
