Green Anthurium in pink vase !
I love anthuriums. This is the first time I met with these colors and are huge and live a long time!
In this work I played around with textures and gradients. Taken in my studio .

It's not very usual to see coast with rocks in the province of Valencia, only the locals know these small and wonderful places.

Green Heron
Circle B Bar Reserve
From Cornell:
From a distance, the Green Heron is a dark, stocky bird hunched on slender yellow legs at the water’s edge, often hidden behind a tangle of leaves. Seen up close, it is a striking bird with a velvet-green back, rich chestnut body, and a dark cap often raised into a short crest. These small herons crouch patiently to surprise fish with a snatch of their daggerlike bill. They sometimes lure in fish using small items such as twigs or insects as bait.
From your photographer:
I've seen them often slowly move forward while stalking as well - so maybe moving one foot in front of another over the span of 30 seconds - other times they've remained seemingly motionless for long periods of time. I haven't seen one using a lure yet.
See the post in the comments for a photo of this Green Heron with its neck extended.
Some further attempts at more abstract images from a scrap yard visit earlier in the year. Any constructive comments welcome as ever...

Another Green parasitic fly (rutilia formosa), this time in profile.
Unlikely to win any beauty contests, but interesting in their own special way!
This dragonfly buzzed the Greenie once and survived. It wasn't so lucky the next time. I don't think it went down smoothly
