Nothing much was done for this except some light adjustment. Background was captured as it is.
I really like the cool scent of the greens after a shower... in the morning... and at night....
Have you had any nature walk recently?
It is strange but I really enjoy nature walks only when I am alone... It is when I can really feel that I am in my own world. My world where no one can judge me, where no one will harm me. It is when I can listen to my own breathing or hum a tune to myself and imagine myself in an adventure, inside a fairytale land. For a moment return to childhood, when everything was simple... so simple.
Winter in California is our green season, so far these hills still make good grazing land but if rains don't fall soon they will change quickly to gold and brown. This photo is taken in December on a trip from Sacramento to Monterey. The oak trees bloom around March. Practicing water conservation will soon become a requirement for the entire state.
I had work this week in Dayton, WA near Walla Walla. The fields are just greening out. Wow!
Not really rivers, of course, but the landscape of a leaf can sometimes seem like a larger world. This is a large elephant's ear leaf, native to Polynesia. (Zuiko 50mm macro, f/8, 1/40 sec., ISO 400, open shade with some filtered morning sun, handheld)

Homasassa Springs State Park is a "zoo." It has both captive animals and open waterways where animals can come and go. I can't recall for sure, but I think this Green Heron was in the open.

I can't believe that it's already Thursday! I can't wait until this weekend when we decorate for the holidays.

The green beetles were everywhere on this plant and no spider webs. So, perhaps they are not tightly coupled. Their little green shells seemed almost gem-like.
