If anyone ever gets a straight on shot of this I will totally kiss you with cigarette breath!!!

was killing some time today in downtown so I did a quick little set of 5 photos of this wall.

Underground passage at Fort Wetherill in Jamestown, Rhode Island. I've seen the clips on the ceiling at other old coastal defense forts ... without a tour guide to explain things, I would guess they were part of system to get shells and powder from the ammo bunker to the guns.

It seems that hurricanes and humans have both left their signatures on this deserted farmhouse along the historic Old Mine Road, New Jersey.

Though it is inland along the border with Pennsylvania, this area (The Delaware Water Gap) felt heavily the effects of Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Sandy in 2012. A jaw dropping amount of trees are down and many bridges, historic buildings, roads, trails, and power lines were damaged. Some repairs have begun and a few popular places have reopened this spring. The bright green of the new spring underbrush is helping to cover the sight of all the downed trees in the forest.

Quit trashing the place, clean it up and keep it that way. Also stop with the grafilthy. Stay off the native plants and keep improving the down. Visitors...respect the ocean and each other.
