Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~ Robert Frost~

Golden Aspens just south of Canadian border....not much red this year but oh so much wonderful gold!
Enjoy the week my friends and very glad you stopped by....smelling that first cup of morning coffee already; I like dark roast and hazelnut together, how about you?.......Pat xo
I love the long shadows the last light of day makes on the sand.

Some Slaves forced to mine for gold in the harsh heats of distant (country name here) Slavery can be harsh... And in this heat, rebellion is often frowned upon :P
You look like gold to me
And Im not too blind to see
You look like gold
You make me wanna sing
With all the joy you bring
You look like gold
Like the rays down from the sun
When a new day has just begun
You look like gold

Rock on gold dust woman
Take your silver spoon
Dig your grave
Heartless challenge
Pick your path and I'll pray
Wake up in the morning
See your sunrise loves to go down
Lousy lovers pick their prey
But they never cry out loud
Cry out
Did she make you cry
Make you break down
Shatter your illusions of love
And is it over now do you know how
Pick up the pieces and go home.

Always believe in your soul
You've got the power to know
You're indestructible
Always believe in, because you are
Gold
Glad that you're bound to return
There's something I could've learned
You're indestructible
Always believe in
Another version of a shot I posted on Saturday night. This is a 7 shot pano, taken just on sunrise. The colours in the sky leading up to this image were vivid pink and red, and at this stage, the light started to get a little more harsh, but the reflections were spectacular. Hope you like "Gold". Cheers, Mike
One of the most beautiful look up places I've been to. It's mesmerizing to see the reflections on the gold glass windows run on infinitely.

City bulldog says he would NEVER EVER chew on any the flowers! "I am just out here doing some gold dusting! Just sniffing around these yellow golden flowers to keep the dust and dirt off them", claims City
Now....I ask.....why can't he look me in the eye when I asked him if he was going to chew on the flowers!!!
He even is starting to have a case of his Monkey Lips because he knows I won't buy he was just sniffing and dusting the flowers. He is so cute. City decided to earn brownie points and really behave for a photo session.

Gold & graceful
One of the better results from playing with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM and a bowl of water! I love the golden tones reflected off the water surface.
