The lovely frothy white flowers of the cow parsley in full bloom at this time of year.....

A few weeks ago I was in San Francisco talking to the Photoshop users group at the Adobe center. Here is the famous bridge with some good old rust and concrete.

Wow, almost lost track of the days. Would hate to miss a Friday and seeing all your creative fences.

..with a keyhole view. Another archive shot, Tregwainton in Cornwall provides many photographic opportunities, lovely views within and out to see over Penzance, a wonderful place to visit..

A gate is a point of entry to a space enclosed by walls, or an opening in a fence. Gates may prevent or control entry or exit, or they may be merely decorative. Other terms for gate include yett and port.

Larger gates can be used for a whole building, such as a castle or fortified town, or the actual doors that block entry through the gatehouse. Today many gate doors are opened by an automated gate operator

I have taken many images of this property. It's getting difficult to find a new composition, but I don't think I've taken the gate before. If fact, I hadn't even noticed the gate before. I stopped the car and got out, saw the gate, realized the car was in the way for getting a good picture of it, moved the car and this is the result.

The Eastern Gate (Oostpoort) in Delft, an example of Brick Gothic northern European architecture, was built around 1400. Around 1510 the towers were enhanced with an additional octagonal floor and high spires. This is the only city gate remaining in Delft; the others were demolished in the 19th century. It currently serves as an art gallery and private residence.

A black and white take on the churning surf at the Golden Gate a few weeks ago. There are two black dots in the water, which are surfers waiting to catch a wave.

Well first I missed my plane

So I wound up on your flight

Then we got stuck in Detroit

Half the night

And the only vacant seat

You could find at gate twenty-nine

Was one next to mine ...
