The gardens behind the magnificent Blenheim Palace, just outside of Oxford, UK. The gardens are really a sight to behold, particularly on a hot summer day.
I really recommend pressing L or clicking on the image to view large on black.

Photo manipulated with snowflakes : )
this week's treasures dug up from the garden.
they probably were buried for a couple of years. I dug them up when digging holes for some plants. washed the mud off.
and bingo!
these come from my recycle trash can. I occasionally put them there instead of in the un-recycles. the recycle trash goes out into the garden.
oops!

“What I've always found interesting in gardens is looking at what people choose to plant there. What they put in. What they leave out. One small choice and then another, and soon there is a mood, an atmosphere, a series of limitations, a world.”

My neighbor's rock garden, pieced together with broken salvaged limestone and criss-crossed with vinca and other viney plants. This section is roughly 3" wide.

and I loved my garden into being every year. I started at this time of year, the "I can't take it any long, monochromatic time of year." Throwing on a heavy sweater, I'd go to the shed and pull out my empty pots. And up to the deck they'd go... where I could see them easily from inside the living room. That way, whenever i needed inspiration, I could look out at the deck and imagine the green coming. Which it did by late May, after I'd planted what I wanted to see distributed in mid-June throughout my garden as features of love.
So I miss my once-upon-a-time garden.
But today, this picture appeared after an absence of a few years. It came to remind me that my garden lives within me. And I can rest and see the green coming whenever I need a blessing.
my LOST GARDEN
A little robin the garden which had successful fledglings this year. Very inquisitive and always follows you around. I've often wondered why robins are not at all skittish like so many other birds.
I want to thank everyone who sent heart felt messages and letters to me when my father passed away. It was very special to me to read the lovely words you sent.
Thank you my friends.
A few of the blossoms in the garden yesterday, wonderfully colorful and fragrant...have a perfect spring day...
