This is the beautiful lake of the famous "Victoria Reggia," - the biggest nymphaea and unique in the world - this time seen from the other side of its lake... even though we are in the center of Rio de Janeiro (Jardim Botanico) - it is as if we were in a kind of Eden - the total peace and joy of feeling one with nature wast truly wonderful ... as I walked here I "took " in my pocket" my friends too -- one of them was Sigi , a great artist and dear friend with a special soul (this is a kind of belated birthday "gift") - and to all my friends, my brasilian ones and all of you just enjoy and relax ... and lets us all be zen and respect Nature. Due to recent events I also dedicate this picture in tribute to all the people who are suffering from the Tsumani which started in Japan.

Taken in our garden yesterday...

it's always fun to find new and

different shots there.

a beautifully intriguing garden at a country manor in suffolk.

yesterday my little one went through the garden picking up most flowers on her way :) not big deal of course, but i try to teach her that to look and to smell should be enough to enjoy, not that always she listens ;)....we have plenty blues and carpets of yellows, as for the pink, so we have only one tiny plant and she took most of the blossoms :) i had to take care and to up into water so we could enjoy them for some time longer.

the idea for picture is from Christina (Divas & Dreams) ((but i can not find somehow that picture now to put a link...)), the texture is from Kim Klassen, the processing includes simply vintage action from Rita (CoffeeShop). .

Desejo a todas um ótimo final de semana , com muita luz e muita paz e ótimas produções!!!!!!

Thank you!!!

The Garden Entry photograph was created at Winterthur Museum. I love the shadows cast on the ground by the detailed gate and the contrast between the rough surface of the stone walls against the soft texture of the garden. Photograph was created by Melissa Fague.

Even breathing couldn't stop this slug tucking into a fallen flower. Noticed this cool breath hole slugs have (Pneumostome) so they can get down to the business of eating without the need to stop for breath.

I went out shooting this morning with Flickr friend, Charles Therit to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. It had snowed yesterday which sometimes can provide for some great photo opportunities in the park. We got up early and put a plan together, which was to drive until we saw something we liked! Here is an amazing image he posted:

The image above is from the first spot we stopped. I had taken images at this overlook in the past, but nothing at first light. We were greeted with amazing color and light as the sun approached the horizon and began to glow against the rock formations in the central garden . It was really cold but well worth the effort. Thanks again, Charlie!

It was a gorgeous autumn day! I put the lensbaby on the camera and went for a walk through the Botanic gardens.

I was off work today due to the weather and went out into my garden shed with my camera and managed to capture a couple of robins who kept coming into the garden looking for food.

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden.

I believe you need sunglasses to view this. : )

I must play with this some more. I would rather the image in the crystal ball be up the right way, but then the table top would be wrong. Lots of potential for some interesting images I think.

Chinese Garden (Chinese: 裕华园), also commonly known as Jurong Gardens, is a park in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1975 and designed by Prof. Yuen-chen Yu, an architect from Taiwan, the Chinese Garden’s concept is based on Chinese gardening art. The main characteristic is the integration of splendid architectural features with the natural environment. The Chinese Garden is modeled along the northern Chinese imperial style of architecture and landscaping

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden or The Walker Sculpture Garden as many of the locals know it as.

"The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is an 11 acre (45,000 m²) park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the United States.[1] It is located near the Walker Art Center, which operates it in coordination with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. It is one of the largest urban sculpture gardens in the country, with 40 permanent art installations and several other temporary pieces that are moved in and out periodically."

"The centerpiece of the garden is the Spoonbridge and Cherry (1985–1988) water sculpture designed by husband and wife Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen"

One of our garden residents sleeping in the sun close by an ancient beech. Not the most ancient or biggest of the beeches - this is adjacent the beech copse; younger trees which are only around 30 years old. The largest and most ancient is 100 years old although I am told it may be 200.

These tranquil gardens are my most favorite in the area. I photograph this location several times throughout the year and just when I thought I have captured about every aspect, I am blessed to have my mind's eye come up with another. The fountains on this evening were running a deep and milky blue color. I got down as low as I could get without getting wet. Here is the result.

More macro blooms, this one I am unsure of its name. The colour however is really good for the garden.
