Seoul, Pavilion over the Buyongji Pond in the Secret Garden of the Changdeokgung palace. Located on a hill behind the main palace, the garden has been designed for the private use of the royal family. The "secret garden" is a modern name; it used to be called "forbidden garden" or "inner garden" during the Joseon dynasty.

I came across this image hidden in the archives, I have one already in my stream taken from a different angle. I hope you do not mind me putting this one on as well.

The Gardens boast one of the finest tree collections in the world, set on banks around a great lake. The famous Pantheon, Temple of Flora and Temple of Apollo (where Darcy first proposed to Elizabeth in the new Pride and Prejudice Film) form the centre-point for countless vistas from around the garden, inspired by classic Renaissance landscape paintings.

Cobblestones, flowers and umbrellas..only thing you need is the pizza.

I don't usually works with textures, but for once I thought I would try it out - because this does look like the perfect motif for a water-colour painting, and the original was... not really presentable anyway (the light was quite troublesome to work with - very bright but not sunny).

This is the great reception hall at Shibamata Taishakuten, a Buddhist temple, set in a traditional Japanese garden. You actually walk round the garden on a covered walkway of wood - you leave your shoes at the entrance and walk in your socks (as a Swede I am quite familiar to the concept of not wearing shoes indoors, but this was a new experience even for me). A very contemplative and beautiful place. The garden was created in 1965, and the reception hall dates to 1929.

Shibamata Taishakuten was founded in 1629 - but the buildings in the area are generally from the early 20th century. The inner shrine of the Taishakudo (Taishaku temple hall) was finished in 1915 and the hall of worship 1929. The temple is centred around the worship of Taishakuten (sometimes called just Taishaku - written 帝釈天 or 帝釈 respectively), the Japanese name for Sakra devanam Indra (that is, the god Indra, known from Hinduism).

This is a winter garden from a month ago.

It doesn't even look like winter, more like your summer in August.

We're upside-down people and parrot in down-under world, so everything is confusing.
