Bleating tree frog (Litoria dentata)

Vancouver Aquarium

Parry Sound, ON

this green tree frog lives in a plant on my sisters balconey, he comes out most nights to catch bugs attracted to the lights, he is rather sociable and let me get pretty close, i think he enjoyed being the centre of attention and i am sure he smiled for me.

Northern Torrent Frog (Meristogenys orphnocnemis) - Danum Valley, Malaysia

This is one of the first Meristogenys frogs I encountered and due to that I didn't know what to make of it. I did know it was something different than the rest of the frogs I had been seeing, so I snapped a bunch of shots so I could ID it later. A few hurdles later and my best guess is that this is Meristogenys orphnocnemis, however that is not certain. There is no doubt however that it is a Meristogenys, a genus of frogs entirely endemic to Borneo. The frog was covered in dirt which makes me thing it had just recently emerged from its daytime hidey hole.

***If you know what kind of frog this is, please let me know!***

So many little frogs and toads around Westhay, you really have to watch where you are putting your feet.

I Found a frog hopping across my garden whilst mowing the lawn this afternoon. I stopped the mowing and went to get my camera and ring flash!!

I have always wanted to take photos of the cool eyes of a frog!

Turned out to be a friendly but very hoppy chap...

I can't tell you how difficult it was to take photos of it whilst holding the frog with my right hand - especially when the button is on the wrong side of the camera (I had it in manual settings too - idiot)

This is a tiny frog, a bit over a half inch. I believe it is a "Greenhouse Frog," a nonindiginous species.

This frog is living in an old watery quarry in the south of Sweden.

Little green frog in my daugter's hand :) She very like frogs and she found it in the forest :)

This great species was one of two that inhabited the area around the lodge pond. I was really excited to see and photograph them. They were shown on some lodge postcards, but not named on them.

I am pretty sure I got the correct ID as they are not rare in the area and I found a lot of photos on Flickr of similar ones.

This was a real highlight to me of the lodge.

I uploaded the wrong photo of it initially!
