Common Frog - Garden pond. Counted up to 5nr frogs in the pond which is only about 1m x 1.5m in size. Definitely has had the most positive impact on our garden wildlife since we installed it a several years ago.
This was published as a cover photo for the New York State Environmental Conservationist Magazine in the late 1970's. This was shot using Kodak slide film then scanned to make a digital image. A friend and I are reflected in the frogs eye. This photo is very special to me!
When this photo was published, I named it "reflections" because of the reflections in the eye.
Having reflected on this further, I realize the frog has but one wish and that is to be "free, free at last". All mankind has a natural desire to be free and I wish for freedom for all of us. I admire Dr. Martin Luther King, whose "I have a dream" speech sends a chill throughout my body every time I hear it!!

Thanks too for any comments, views or favorites!
It has been raining all day and I noticed this one sitting in the middle of the courtyard. This one was about 3cm- roughly the same size as the L. fallax that I had in the Mapleton garden
This little frog has taken up home in my ornamental pond, probably because the drought has dried up his natural habitat. He likes to sit next to the LED lights and catch insects attracted in the late evening.
My son found this frog when we were working in our yard. I couldn't bring myself to touch him but my son had no problem with picking him up. My children carried him around for a while and then they let him go in the grass.
comments would be very much appreciated When you comment my shots, please also favorite it also, that would help me a lot. Thanks!
This Red-eyed Tree Frog (Agalychnis callidryas) patiently posed for many photos. Taken on the grounds of Villa Lapas, Tarcoles, Costa Rica.
Cannot clear the weed at the moment as there are tadpoles. Don't want to disturb them. There are some lovely little frogs this year too. Perhaps last years tadpoles? and some slightly bigger. This one is fully grown.
I think I may be the "frog whisperer". I was sitting by the pond waiting for birds when all of these frogs swam in, looked at me and started "singing".
Masked Tree Frog (Rhacophorus angulirostris) - Mount Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia
This frog is known from fewer than five locations and its habitat is declining in quality and size. It is only found in primary submontane and montane forests in the Crocker range and strangely at one site in Sumatra in Indonesia. Due to its restricted range and the threats facing it, this species has been listed as endangered. It is not too difficult to find in the montane forest of Mount Kinabalu, where this species can sometimes be seen perching near streams which are found in montane forest above 1000 m asl. This species has a rather variable coloration so despite its common name (masked tree frog) this particular individual is missing the mask.

Found this tiny frog on a sign nearby Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Real-life size: smaller than my thumbnail.
