Thank you all for your kind comments.
I don't visit the 'city' much since I retired and when I do it's like having 'fresh eyes.' No reflections in the lake's still waters to photograph here ...

There was light rain just as the morning light hit the highest peaks in the Teton range. The red lasted about a minute while I was snapping away. Then as quickly as it came it was gone.

Earlier today I posted the pretty clear water from Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park. Here the fresh water from Crater Lake is in that same category. Water here is from rain and snow that falls in the Crater.
Hence the fine blue colors from the high altitude sky falling down on the supreme clear water.
Lavender fields below Mt. Shasta, taken fresh this morning, considering the long 5 hour drive back home to San Francisco, this may well be my quickest transfer from taking the photo to uploading it. It was taken around 9AM, 3.5 hours after sunrise, as soon as the fields opened to the public, it's unfortunately only open 9AM-5PM (4 hours before sunset)., I tried going before and after, the gate was firmly closed with a posted no trespassing sign. So the light is ALWAYS bad when the site is open. The horizon may appear tilting, but the field is on a slope. There is not much snow on Shasta this year, unfortunately it was a very dry winter in California. The blooming lavender seen here is the English variety, the green rows in the upper right quadrant are the French variety that will bloom 2 weeks later.
A flower for Friday.
Two beautiful Flypapers were used here

One more from the little excursion the Pup and I went on the other evening. The IT was a great night to be out. We're really looking forward to the clocks be moved ahead next weekend and then we should have enough time to get out and enjoy the evenings.
The Pup figures it's worth hittin "L"
I like finding a spot and staying there to watch how the look of the dunes changes as the morning sun rises into the sky. A strong wind kept knocking out the power the previous night, but it also erased all the footprints, making the dunes new and fresh.
I took this at Mt Hotham after some fresh falls , it was about 9pm the night before the last shot I posted . It is a lovely village with snowgums lining the streets . I was processing this one just for me but I really like it so I thought I would share it . I had a bit of fun losing the colourcasts from all the different light sources .
