I stumbled across an old farm house and barn so I quickly loaded the Hassey and fired off a roll trying to document what I saw, I like being pressed for time when I am shooting, it forces me to really focus on what catches my interest and quickly compose the frame ... shoot ... move on.

I was tidying up and noticed how pretty the frayed edges of some of my fabrics were.

Macro Mondays Theme - March 26, 2017: Cloth/Textile.

When I was a child, I lived with my grandparents. My grandmother was a well-known seamstress in the area.

She also was a fantastic weaver. She made rag rugs from our old discarded clothing. I would sit for hours and cut the clothing into strips and attach the pieces end to end.

This rug must be over 60 years old - it is frayed from much use. It also is very dear to me, evoking memories of childhood and a beloved grandmother.

Esta imagen me gusto porque es una de las portadas del album del grupo The Fray. Lo que mas me gusto es la iluminacion y la composicion.

This is a card I made for Jennifer McGuire’s Holiday Thinking Inking week 6 (stamping on different surfaces) and for the current challenge. I ended up stamping on three different fabrics.

My poor faerie mate has not been eating well. The stress gremlins stole the appetite right from her soul. Now on the turning point of regaining happiness, I find her a bit shrunken, but still beautiful. We decided to do a small series of shots accentuating her bones, and sharing the sadness before she fluffs back to normal.
