Took a snowcoach tour while we were in Yellowstone...a great way to experience the park interior since most roads are closed to passenger vehicles. Walked around Porcelain Basin, located at the Norris Geyser Basin, which is always so much more magical in the midst of winter. As we were walking down the boardwalk, I happened to glance back and managed to capture the steam from the thermal features as the sunlight filtered through the trees. Couldn't pass it up :-)

Have a great Tuesday, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments!!!!! Hoping to catch up with everyone sometime this week in between processing images and catching up with work.

There's a very big crop on this one and the mallard drakes were right at the edge of the frame so the focus isn't quite as sharp as I would have liked. And there's a trade off between noise, speed and aperture. I should probably have been shooting at ISO2000 instead of ISO1000, but with the speed of the birds and rapidly changing light conditions it's hard to get everything right.

Try it in the light box.

View of the Pacific Ocean. My mom loves this path along the cliffs of Montaña de Oro State Park in California and we've been there several times together. Fabulous place!

My friends, wish you have a sunny weekend@

This is the original image of the square version I posted last year, sunrise over my favourite place!

A low, long exposure shot looking up Finnich Gorge towards one of the falls. I loved the shapes in the foreground water caused by a large rock just under the surface.

A very slight change of our habits is sufficient to destroy our sense of our daily reality, and the reality of the world around us.
