Working in Vermont this week was a treat in that I got an early look at what foliage may look like later in October. Traveling back and forth to the job site I would "Take The Slow Road" to get an eyeful of color and pure beauty.

Photo was taken from about 100 metres/328 feet away. I used the tele to zoom into the beech forest. It was windy, hence the blurry foliage. As long as the trees aren't blurry that's fine with me. Blurry foliage makes the picture less static. Some photographers don't like blurry stuff in their pictures. They want everything tack sharp. Thankfully, people have different tastes and preferences. Otherwise, it would be pretty boring.

a sample of the Fall color around here......we don't have many hardwood trees around this part of Texas...they don't do well here, so we don't have a lot of Fall color. This tree looked like it was glowing with the sun shining down on it.

This is a picture taken close to Smugglers´ Notch, a wonderful place to spend holidays at any season!

Went back to Burke Lake park today to catch this year's fall foliage. If you come herre without a camera, you'd wish you did bring one. I spent four hours at the lake today and I wish I had four more. This is no doubt this is one of the best fall foliage spots in DC metro area, and I'd recommend it to anyone who lives close by. There's a $8 per vehicle fee for non-Fairfax county resident on the weekends, but I'm telling you it's worth every penny.
Going to New York City with friends tomorrow for more turning leaves action (along with some other things). Central Park, here I come!

I know that there is already snow in many places in our area, but there is also quite a bit of Fall foliage on some hardwood trees in certain locations I have been to in the last week or so. Not being completely ready to let go and transition yet, I resurrected this photo I took two years ago down in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, near Berwick. I'd like to say that I live there, but it probably ain't gonna happen as they say!
P.S. If that lottery ticket sittin' on my dresser top has the right numbers on it when I check it later on this morning....well...things just might suddenly change...
