An unusual start to a warm day with heavy fog shrouding the paddocks. Taken near Mount Dunned Victoria.
It took two hours after being awake / then the sun started to rise / through fog hiding the distant trees.

for anyone who was wondering
THIS IS FILM. for our work at california state summer school for the arts we had to edit some of our pictures in photoshop and print them digitally. we then printed some of other photos in the darkroom, to sort of get the experience of both ways of doing it especially since color darkrooms are hard to come by in the real world and we were taught how to use photoshop tools like a darkroom, as levels and curves are very much like color correction. the print I made of this image is something I'm really proud of, just cause I'm a perfectionist and this doesn't look exactly the same it makes me annoyed. flickr sort of messed up the colors
With another summer winding down, heading into autumn with winter getting ready to knock on the door, looking back at a capture taken an a fairly warm foggy January day from last winter. Partial reflection of the trees through the open ice. Taken at Beaver Island State Park.

Very early Friday morning just before sunrise we have Metra F-40c heading into Spaulding at Naperville Rd
Today we really got some crazy fog so I decide to take a walk past the small lake by my house. With the warmer weather that we had yesterday plus the rain I knew it might be flooded, it doesn't take much really. Between yesterday and today it really felt like Spring, I'm sure Winter will give us a few last kicks but I'm ready for everything to be green again!
