We had thick fog today. It was supposed to clear off about 11:00 a.m. but it didn't so I was taking pictures. This one was taken from our moving vehicle. I helped it along a little with a couple of my own textures.
When we started our 15 minutes walk to the top of Hohentwiel we were surrounded by thick fog. And fog there had been for the whole day. In a couple of minutes the fog opened up and soon we saw a suggestion of the sun, later followed by blue sky and an amazing sunset.

...after we dropped the dog off, the sun was coming up, so I made him stop the car again. I wish we hadn't been in a hurry, because the fog started doing this great layering thing about five minutes after I took this photo as the sun starting burning it off.
