This was about a week out from her competition in Vancouver, we wanted to try to shoot a couple fitness shots. In this one I tried something new by having her stand on a reflector so I could not only get a bit of a mirrored image (which I know I can do in post) and also bounce a little more light up on her legs. I usually don't shoot high key shots but I thought this one called for it.
She is in fantastic shape. A ton of hard work to get to this level. A real joy to watch her transform her body.

Left myself in the frame for this fitness shot. We met this client in her public gym at 11pm one night, so she could be photographed during her workout privately. Additionally, I cut her feet off... two obvious failures in this image...
This is Vanessa, a fitness model here in the KC area. Fun shoot today, combining some sports themes, lighting for mood, and working with use of shadows.
Strobist Info: two borrowed Elinchrom lights in softboxes cross lighting.
