A good place to stop for a seat and have a coffee !

I hadn't realised how interesting the harbour is with all the fishing boats and old and very colourful houses.

Margate in early morning light ... fishing boats prepare for another day's work ... as well as a yellow yacht that stood out in the sunshine.

Margate is a small seaside town on the Channel Highway between North-West Bay and the Snug Tiers, 7 kilometres south of Kingston in Tasmania, Australia.

While on my way to Kettering, I glanced to my left and saw boats in the distance. I immediately took a detour and this was my reward. Such a perfect start to the day.

On the ferry ride that took me to Bruny Island, I struck up a conversation with a couple from Snug. I remember remarking what a lovely name it was.

Fishing boat returning to harbour, Bridlington, East Yorkshire, England

We've just returned from a very pleasant couple of weeks in Cornwall during which we paid a visit to Polperro on the county's south-east coast. This must surely be the prettiest fishing village in England, and is certainly one of my favourite places.

A view of the fishing boats taken just before the recent tidal surge in Norfolk. I don't know how things have changed there since then but I am sure it is not good news.

Driving home from work stopped off at Fishermans beach near where I live. Stood there to watch the sun go down. The light was perfect. Hope I did this old tub justice.

Just watching the fishing boats as the sun starts to set.

This fishing boat had graffiti all over it - which to my eye spoilt the scene completely. I've repainted it without most of the offending graffiti.

I like fishing. Not actual fishing - I like the peace and quiet of being at sea. It's different.
