I've tried two flash setup, one from above and one from the right side. Wasn't too bad.

Good morning. I know, you're probably wondering when this series is going to end. Soon I'm happy to say as I'm slowly coming to the end with about two to three more Fishy Fridays to go. So please bear with it for just a while longer. Thank you.

Today's featured fish is a Cichlasoma festae, a South American cichlid commonly known as a Guayas Cichlid, Harlequin Cichlid, or Red Terror Cichlid. It originates primarily from Columbia and Ecuador. Body color ranges from brown to green, with several dark verticle strips running down the body. Mature C. festae can be bright red with dark bars or a lemon yellow as with the fish pictured here.

As part of our pet-sitting duties while our son and his fiancé moved home we had Milo the Labrador staying with us and a tankful of tropical fish. Milo moved out a couple of weeks ago and the fish are leaving today.
