( I like the half dog in front..........)

Am I right or wrong? Wrong place, wrong time? Everything is over already? Where are the dogs? Where the mushers? Is it the sled of the pharmacist?

44 - Silvia Fürtwangler

I shot the first picture close to checkpoint Søvollen at about 10 o'clock in the morning of 2nd Febr, 2014 during Femundløpet sled dog long distance race in Norway. I met some F400 dog teams on the mountain plateau some kilometers outside the checkpoint in a snow storm - like Norwegian musher Geir Askim and his dogs (photo above). I shot the last picture there at about half past 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I made about 1.000 pictures. But each time when I try to get rid of some, I find unseen pictures. I remember very well what I've seen, but the pictures look like a movie, like from another unreal world. I'm glad I was there in the snow storm - one of my very personal experiences with sled dog racing photography since I'm out there to see dog teams on the trails ...
