grandma's favorites.
we went to my grandparent's tonight for our weekly dinner date. she made lentil soup, yummy pork loin and broccoli rabe (iiick). for dessert, she made her infamous 'sunday cake', and we had some weird italian tea (it tasted like veal saltimboca + flowers, if that makes any sense) that my cousin, gino, brought over.
my grandma had a few pieces of carnival glass on the side that she wanted to give me. she started me on collecting milk glass items years ago, when i was just a kid. i generally only collect the white westmoreland cake stands and pitchers, but she absolutely insisted that i take these carnival glass pieces. the one in the lower left corner, the votive holder, is her favorite and after i realized how much it meant to her-- i was really happy to have it.
my nonna is the best :)
We need some ads for the FamilyTies, so I took the 3 littles downstairs in their little suits and Families Are Forever ties for a mini photoshoot.
