This was the view that greeted me from my bedroom window as I got home from work. I'll never cease to grow tired or amazed by the majesty and beauty of God's creation. It is a clear reminder of the faithfulness and love of my Heavenly Father. I feel blessed to have lived another day in His care and mercy. God is good. Praise be the Name of the Lord.

Gladiolus flowers bloom on a long spike that ranges from 2 to 4 feet tall.
These beauties open from the bottom and work their way upwards creating a long spire of blooms.
The grass-like foliage resembles the blade of a sword giving these flowers a reputation as sword flowers.
The blooms range in colour from bold orange and red to pastel blues, pinks and yellows, lilacs, whites and purple.
The gladiolus flower symbolises honour and remembrance, but it has other meanings too.
It can also symbolise the following:
•Strength of character
•Faithfulness, sincerity and integrity
•Never giving up
Purple, specifically means: Charm, grace and mysteriousness.

In the 15th century Germany, it was supposed that the wearers of the flower would not be forgotten by their lovers. Legend has it that in medieval times, a knight and his lady were walking along the side of a river. He picked a posy of flowers, but because of the weight of his armour he fell into the river. As he was drowning he threw the posy to his loved one and shouted "Forget-me-not". This is a flower connected with romance and tragic fate. It was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love.
There are approximately fifty species in the genus, with much variation. A considerable number of the species have small (1 cm diameter or less) rather flat, 5-petalled blue flowers growing profusely on straggly stems, flowering in spring. Color variation is somewhat frequent within species, and white or pink forms are common. They are popular in gardens, and cultivated forms often show a mixture of colours. Forget-me-nots prefer shade.
Forget-me-nots can be annual or perennial plants. Their root systems are generally diffuse. Their seeds are found in small, tulip-shaped pods along the stem to the flower. The pods attach to clothing when brushed against and eventually fall off, leaving the small seed within the pod to germinate elsewhere. Seeds can be collected by putting a piece of paper under the stems and shaking them. The seed pods and some seeds will fall out.

This is the identifying mark of the "hireling," the false pastor. He aims at pleasing his hearers, making them feel satisfied with themselves, ever patting them on the back.
"But he who has My Word--let him speak My Word faithfully" (Jeremiah 23:28)--no matter how unpalatable it may be to the flesh, how much of a weariness to those who wish to have their ears tickled with novelties, or how loud the outcry against it is!
Ministerial faithfulness includes . . .
loyalty to his Master,
devotion to His interests,
steadfast adherence to the preaching of His Word,
dispensing the truth unto those whose souls are committed to Him,
not mixing it with his speculations, much less substituting false doctrine.
A far higher motive than the pleasing of his hearers must actuate and regulate ministerial service.
Faithful preaching will render the minister unpopular, and will empty churches--not fill them!
"Then you will know the truth--and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32) Souls are caught fast in the meshes of Satan's lies--and nothing but the sword of God's truth can cut them free!
"A faithful man--who can find?" (Proverbs 20:6). Why is this? Because it is the part of fallen human nature to take the line of least resistance, and choose the path easiest to the flesh. But remember, my reader, whoever you are, that, "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord--but those who deal faithfully are His delight." (Proverbs 12:22)

I don't want to start whining because vacation's over but I'd like to thank God instead. I thank Him for giving me a lighter load today and for the next two days. It's not a regular class for our school but more of a Spiritual Emphasis for students. I was given a very light task: STORYTELLING. In short, after the first hour in the morning, I get to Flickr all day long!!! YEEEEEEEES!!! To God be the glory!!!

I like dogs better than cats
I prefer computer screens to TV and movie screens because they are more intimate.
I prefer a few awesome friends and have them all bottled up in my dresser drawer.
I fall in love with virtual people more often than real... just sayin'
I am balanced... but then don't all unbalanced people think they are?
I cry in the presense of beauty. Music, art, reality... all that.
I don't read because it's too much work and get morose when the story is over, because it is. Same thing with movies. You spend all that time, effort, money and then, crap, it's over. Plus, I cry in the presense of beauty.
I never watch the same movie twice or read the same book.
My best characteristic is that of faithfulness. Once I get hooked into something I can't let go, or don't want to let go, same thing for me. I can be dragged through the mud naked and by someone I love and think, they must have a reason.
My worst characteristic is one of needing reassurance, over and over and over again.
I don't share my beliefs with others because they are too personal but, have many, orthodox and unorthodox. When the conversation turns to religion or politics, I cringe, smile, and leave.
I live through my art. I know that sounds cliche but, there you go. Because, I am a solitary sort, a hermit that dreams on canvas. In that lies the paradox. I hate being alone but steal away at my first opportunity.

Alcohol sucks; and don't ask me why.
I don't have a list of qualities I abhor in humans, just a general disgust of stupidity. I don't understand stubborn, blind, following or leadership.

We had a wonderful day ....Thanksgiving was by the shore for us this year. The weather was gorgeous and for that I am so very thankful. So whether you are "bundled up" or "sleeveless", I hope you enjoyed this very memorable day and keep remembering to "take 5" throughout every day to ponder on things that you have to be THANKFUL for....I know it will take me a lifetime, but one day at a time....there is so much!

Dove, a bird of the pigeon family. There is no scientific difference between a dove and a pigeon, but the term dove usually refers to one of the smaller kinds of pigeon. The dove has a round, soft, sleek head. Its plump, deep-chested body is covered with a dense growth of soft, smooth feathers. Because these birds are deeply affectionate when mated, the dove has become a symbol of faithfulness. The dove bearing an olive branch is a symbol of peace. In Christian art the dove represents the Holy Spirit.

I am constantly amazed by the faithfulness of birds. They build their homes out of whatever's available, carefully creating a place for their families. They sit on nests through all kinds of weather, incubating their eggs. They feed and feed and feed their offspring, even after the little ones have fledged. Sometimes they do all this multiple times in a season. They are amazing examples of commitment! Here a swallow-tailed bee-eater (Merops hirundineus) feeds its demanding youngster, who is almost as big as the parent and probably eats just as much or more. Taken in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa, Africa.

Poverty does not just happen—it attacks, it mugs. Idleness is its chief opportunity. Imagine work as a security system, a theft deterrent. In home defense, it is a 12-gauge shotgun.
We should see our “job” as a divinely appointed opportunity to create, produce, advance, progress, serve, etc. Don’t see your job as just time spent and have a opportunity to “witness”; rather, witness your faithfulness by your diligence, integrity, and purposefulness in working.
yes there are people who cant work due to many reasons and they feed them , cloth them and provide them shelter is our responsibility and ur heart would b pleased and same would God's.
Bt what about those who cant work bt dont, even if they are offered.Would our heart will be happier up to the same state as it was helping the other category.Wouldnt it be stealing from the community rather contributing to it.Taking away the part of those who actually deserve it.
I do believe that all the people are different and posses different set of capabilities.....everyone of us is unique and at sometimes its really difficulit to do a thing which u hv never done before....not everyone is Einstein ...there are people like me as well who are not so very intelligent....bt people like me succeed as well.....beacuase they try...they are not victims of laziness....its just that they never stop trying ....
Its time that we should understand our very purpose of life.
